Our Projects

Churches Together in Penzance Area enables individuals from several small local congregations to meet and to join with others in praying for and in serving our community in our projects. People of many faiths and none also work in the projects. All their help is greatly valued.

Post covid, two of our long-standing projects continue to provide for those in need in our town and surrounding area, these are The Breakfast Project and the CTIPA Food Bank. A new project, Town Pastors Pz, is, we hope, coming soon, more below. Visit out our Events page for other current information

The Breakfast Project is the most well established community programme, and pre-dates the formation of CTIPA. It has been providing a hot cooked breakfast for the street homeless people in the town for more than 20 years.  New volunteers are always welcome.   If interested please contact us by email: breakfastproject@churchestogetherinpenzance.co.uk

The CTIPA Food Bank is based on the Treneere Estate providing essential food and provisions for those singles and families, who are in financial crisis, and need provision of food.  The area covered is from Land’s End in the West – to Goldsithney – St Just and Pendeen.   We can also provide emergency top-ups for some gas / electric key meters in order that those customers can cook the food provided by the food bank. Please visit our Facebook Foodbank Page for all latest needs and news

To enquire about volunteering or how to access food for either yourself, or for a family or single you know is in need please email us with your details, so we can contact you:

Town Pastors Penzance will be the successor to our very successful ‘Street Pastors’ project 2013 – 2020 which disbanded when Covid 19 social distancing made it impossible to work as before. Please read the Latest Updates

We would warmly welcome new volunteers to help re-launch this service to our community.  If interested please email: penzancetownpastors@churchestogetherinpenzance.co.uk

Currently a small prayer group meets at 9.15 on Thursday mornings at High Street Methodist Chapel, for quiet prayer – or for some to ‘prayer walk’ our locality. All are most welcome – please let us know if you are interested by email.
